Pilgrimage places in Qom

Qom pilgrimage sites are considered the most important tourist attraction in Qom and Qom province. Qom is the second most visited city in Iran after Mashhad due to the pilgrimage sites it has. Shiites from Iran and other Muslim countries of the world travel to Qom every year on various religious occasions and other times of the year to visit and visit these holy sites.

Shrine and Holy Shrine of Hazrat Masoumeh (PBUH)
Hazrat Masoumeh (PBUH), the daughter of the seventh Imam of the Shiites, was traveling to meet Imam Reza (PBUH) when she fell ill and passed away in Qom. Her body was buried in the Babylonian Garden, and today a shrine and a large courtyard have been built around it, attracting many pilgrims every year. This shrine has been renovated many times over the years and has undergone various changes until it reached its present form.

Jamkaran Mosque
Jamkaran Mosque is located 6 kilometers from Qom, near the village of Jamkaran. According to Islamic traditions, Imam Zaman (a.s.) himself asked a believer to build this mosque. Many Shiites visit this mosque on Wednesday nights.

Imamzadeh Ismail
Imamzadeh Ismail is located 18 kilometers from the city of Qom, on the slopes of Mount Bidqan. Three Imamzadehs are buried in this tomb.

Imamzadeh Ali ibn Jafar
Imamzadeh Ali ibn Jafar, also known as Darb Behesht, was built in the 8th century AH and developed during the Qajar era. Beautiful architecture and craftsmanship are used in this Imamzadeh.

Qom Grand Mosque
Qom Grand Mosque, also known as the Atiq Mosque, was founded around the 6th century AH. This building was renovated and expanded during the Qajar era. This mosque has some of the most beautiful domes and porches among the mosques in Qom province.

Fayziyeh School
Fayziyeh School, also known as Astaneh School, was initially founded by Shah Tahmasp Safavi. However, its current building was built by Fath Ali Shah Qajar. Fayziyeh is considered one of the most important religious schools and seminaries in Qom.
