During his weekly ethical address to students of the Holy Karbala Seminary, His Eminence pointed to the importance of utilizing modern tools to serve religion and its teachings. He explained that religion is embodied in its general insights into creation and life, and that technology serves as a means to achieve goals. If the goals are righteous, then technology is desirable; if it serves false aims, then it is unacceptable.
His Eminence affirmed that students are capable of acquiring modern sciences and technologies alongside their seminary studies, and that they bear the responsibility of integrating modern technology with faith-based objectives and ensuring that it serves religion and the higher interests of Muslims.
