According to \u201cKhabar 33,\u201d Bahrain\u2019s Ministry of Interior, headed by Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa\u2014one of the key executors of security projects in the country\u2014has, in line with its annual practice ahead of the month of Muharram, summoned the heads of religious centers (takayas and Husseiniyas) and issued new directives.

The government is reportedly intensifying its campaign against Shia identity, seeking full control over mourning content, including poetry, speeches, and even flags.
\nThe Al Khalifa regime is said to aim at removing the spirit of resistance and opposition to injustice from Ashura rituals, turning them into practices devoid of political and social meaning. This approach comes as Bahraini Shias consider Ashura mourning an essential part of their identity and dignity.
