His Eminence, the Religious Authority Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Muhammad Taqi al-Modarresi (may his shadow endure), affirmed that belief in the Hereafter constitutes the fundamental axis for human progress and the realization of one\u2019s highest aspirations. He explained that it is this very belief that enables an individual to look beyond the immediate present\u2014elevating their ambitions so that they transcend the confines of this world to reach toward the Hereafter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These remarks were delivered during his reception of a group of academic elites\u2014including university presidents, deans of faculties, and faculty members from various Iraqi universities. During this meeting, His Eminence called upon them to cultivate insight and keen foresight in order to transcend self-interest and narrow personal agendas, thereby paving the way to embark toward the boundless horizons of Divine Mercy through righteous deeds and service to others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, Grand Ayatollah al-Modarresi emphasized the imperative of shouldering responsibility toward the members of society in the face of the various challenges being orchestrated against it. His Eminence added: \u201cIraq is a responsibility shared by us all; we are accountable for our country, our families, and our society. It is incumbent upon us to discharge our moral obligations and fulfill our religious duties before it is too late.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His Eminence also drew attention to the inherent strengths within Iraqi society\u2014such as faith in God, courage, generosity, a robust system of moral values, and an abundance of intellectual and scientific talent\u2014calling for the harnessing of these immense blessings for the betterment and development of society itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a related context, Grand Ayatollah al-Modarresi highlighted the relentless efforts of foreign media outlets to construct a frightening image of Islam within the minds of Muslims themselves. He noted that the objective of such efforts is to instill fear regarding the practical application of Islamic principles in daily life. He characterized this phenomenon as a form of \u201csoft warfare\u201d that academic and cultural elites must actively confront and expose for the falsehoods it represents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
