His Eminence, the Religious Authority Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Muhammad Taqi al-Modarresi (may his shadow endure), called upon believers to shoulder the responsibility of propagating the religion and disseminating its teachings, and to exert every effort in inviting others to it\u2014doing so while drawing enlightenment from the path of Abu Abd Allah al-Husayn (peace be upon him) and deriving resolve from the light of his blessed uprising.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This came during his reception of a delegation of pilgrims visiting the Master of Martyrs (peace be upon him) who had arrived from Europe. During the meeting, His Eminence explained to the visiting delegation that the divine laws of God\u2014Glory be to Him\u2014governing creation are immutable and unchanging. Foremost among these laws is the principle of time and duration\u2014the finite lifespan allotted to all things\u2014which governs every entity in this universe. This includes the material civilization of the West, which is currently experiencing the twilight of its existence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His Eminence, Grand Ayatollah al-Modarresi, emphasized that the true civilizational alternative to the current system dominating the world is Islam. He noted that Islam possesses all the essential components of a complete and comprehensive civilization, while remaining free from the critical fissures that threaten other civilizations with extinction. He further highlighted a number of such fissures currently characterizing the material civilization of today\u2014deficiencies that render it incapable of sustaining itself as a truly comprehensive civilization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
